"Alpine meadows, fantasies"
60 * 70 cm (24 * 28 inches)

Acrylic on canvas/2024

Every year, as the seasons change, I find myself longing to witness the bloom of the alpine meadows, to see the mountains dressed in their colorful best. Yet, invariably, life’s relentless tide of tasks and handy excuses keeps me anchored. I’ve never even ascertained the precise moment when the flowers awaken in their high-altitude home. But this year, I’ve made a pledge to myself: come April, I will venture forth to chase this dream, to finally feast my eyes on the spectacle that has eluded me for so long. And as I wait for April’s promise, I pour my yearning onto canvas, capturing the vibrant essence of what I imagine to be the mountain’s floral tapestry.
