Using acrylics and incorporating extra heavy gel medium, I aimed not only to capture the image of the tree with its green leaves but also to convey the sense of its three-dimensionality and texture. My goal was to create not just a picture, but a tangible slice of nature. I wanted the viewers to see my work and feel the urge to touch it, to feel every stroke, every line. The interplay of light and shadow, the thickness of the paint, its richness and vibrancy were meant to convey to the viewer the sense of life that I felt while creating this piece.
